Terms of service
Last revised: July 4, 2026
1. Agreeing to these terms
Using Driving Permit (the “site”) or placing an order through it means you accept these terms of service. If any part of them is unacceptable to you, please do not use the site or order from us.
2. Who we are and what we supply
Driving Permit is a privately run, independent document-preparation service. What we produce is a multi-language rendering of your existing driving licence in the format commonly called an International Driving Permit (IDP), together with a digital copy. We are not a public authority and have no affiliation with, endorsement from, or connection to any government body, motoring association or licensing agency.
The document we supply is not a driving licence and grants no driving rights by itself. It must be carried together with your valid national licence at all times.
3. What we need from you
- A valid driving licence issued by a public authority.
- Accurate, current and complete details in your application, with readable document photos.
- Confirmation, before ordering, that our document is accepted where you plan to use it (see the disclaimer and the destination notes on the start page).
- Lawful use only — presenting the document as if it were a government-issued licence is prohibited.
4. Orders, fees and payment
Fees are shown on the site and collected at checkout in US dollars unless another currency is displayed. Payments run through our payment provider (Stripe); your full card details never reach us. An order becomes binding when we confirm it by email after successful payment.
5. Handling and delivery
Digital documents are normally prepared once payment and documents are confirmed — often the same day. Printed versions are dispatched to the address you supply; transit times differ by destination and carrier and are estimates only. A correct and complete delivery address is your responsibility.
6. Validity
Your document carries the validity period chosen at checkout, counted from the issue date. It can never outlive your underlying national licence: if that licence expires or is suspended, the document stops being usable whatever dates it shows.
7. Intellectual property
Everything on the site — copy, layout, graphics and logos — belongs to us or our licensors. Reproduction requires permission, except for personal, non-commercial viewing.
8. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with the site or our services is capped at the amount you paid for the order in question. We accept no liability for indirect or consequential losses — including fines, refused rentals, disrupted travel or insurance outcomes — arising from reliance on the document where it is not accepted.
9. Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms. The version published here when you place an order is the one that governs that order; significant changes are reflected in the “last revised” date above.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR JURISDICTION]. Questions: contact@onlinedrivingpermit.com.
Privacy notice
Last revised: July 4, 2026
1. What we collect
To produce your document we collect what you enter in the application form:
- Identity details — name, date of birth, nationality, contact information and delivery address.
- Licence details — issuing country, licence number, categories and expiry date.
- Images — a photo of your licence and a passport-style photo of you.
- Order details — the plan, duration and destination you choose. Card details go directly to Stripe and never pass through us.
2. What we use it for
Only to produce and deliver your document, keep you informed about your order, provide support, satisfy legal duties and prevent fraud. Your personal data is never sold.
3. Providers who process data for us
- Cloudinary — secure hosting of the images you upload.
- Google Workspace — order administration (application details are logged in a private spreadsheet).
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Delivery carriers — name and address, to deliver printed documents.
Each provider handles your data under its own safeguards and only as far as its role requires.
4. How long we keep it
Order records are retained for as long as the service, renewals, replacements and accounting duties require. You can ask for earlier removal of your images and details (see your rights below); we comply unless the law obliges us to keep them.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EU/EEA), you may access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Email contact@onlinedrivingpermit.com to exercise any of these — we answer within 30 days.
6. Cookies
Only functional cookies and storage are used (for instance, your language choice). No third-party advertising trackers run on the site. Should analytics be introduced, this notice will be updated first.
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, uploads travel to storage over encrypted connections, and order data is restricted to authorised staff.
8. Contact

Refunds
Last revised: July 4, 2026
1. Our promise
Every order carries a full money-back promise: if we cannot process your application for any reason, the entire amount comes back to you — no paperwork, no delays.
2. Full refunds
- We are unable to produce your document (for instance, the licence you submitted cannot be verified).
- You cancel before work has begun.
- Your destination does not accept our document and the site did not clearly say so when you ordered.
- The same order was charged twice.
3. Partial or declined refunds
- The digital document has already been issued and is accurate — a partial refund may be offered at our discretion.
- The printed version has already been dispatched — postage costs are not refundable.
- The details or photos you supplied were wrong and you decline to correct them.
- You were turned away in a destination the site explicitly lists as unsupported (see the destination section of the start page).
4. Corrections at no cost
Any error of ours is fixed and reissued free — including reprinting and re-posting a physical copy where needed.
5. Requesting a refund
Email contact@onlinedrivingpermit.com with your order reference and the reason. We reply within 24 hours; approved refunds reach your original payment method within 5–10 working days, subject to bank processing times.
Disclaimer
Last revised: July 4, 2026
1. A private service — not a public authority
Driving Permit is a private company. We are not a government body and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government, embassy, motoring association (such as AAA or RAC), or the United Nations. Convention names (1949 Geneva, 1968 Vienna) appear only to describe document formats.
2. What the document is
What we supply is a translation of your existing driving licence presented in the internationally recognised IDP format. It is not a licence, does not replace one, and gives no driving rights on its own. Present it together with your valid national licence, always.
3. Acceptance is never guaranteed
Whether any IDP-format document is accepted always rests with the local authority, rental company or insurer in front of you. Certain destinations — Japan, South Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and North Korea among them — insist on a government-issued permit or apply local rules, as flagged on our start page. Checking your destination’s requirements before ordering and before driving is your responsibility.
4. Not legal advice
Nothing here is legal advice. Information about driving rules abroad is offered in good faith and kept as fresh as we reasonably can — rules change, so always confirm with an official source.
5. Links to other sites
Third-party sites we link to are outside our control and responsibility.
